OU whipped Penn State fair and square and DESERVES the national championship!!! It was also a very exciting game to watch, even if I am somewhat biased. Regarding a proposed playoff among the top 8 teams of the 1985 season, OU would win the playoff handily and UCLA wouldn't make it passed the first round, especially if their first opponent was OU. Regarding the OU vs. ucla game next year - a passing game will take OU's defense apart?? Don't make me laugh!! OU won't have Casillas next year, but ucla won't have Whalen, so their losses are about equal? Jeez, Whalen wouldn't even have started for OU this year!! Someone pointed out that OU lost to Miami while ucla won the big games they had to win - did they forget that OU beat Texas, SMU, Minnesota, Penn State, and Okla. State (who BEAT Washington) while also stomping Nebraska, as they pointed out?? I'd sure like to see ucla go 6-0 against those same 6 teams. I will continue to enjoy OU's season this year, and look forward to a second consecutive national championship (and beating ucla) next year!! Boomer Sooner
