Unfortunately, it looks like George must still be a little rusty on his ratings. As conference play continues look for things to improve. George did at least hit a few big games either exactly right or very very close (e.g. Pitt by 4 over Georgetown and Memphis State by 3 over Kansas). Out of 88 games last week George picked 48 correctly, missed 23, and lost 29 to his spread. For the season his record is 199 - 86 - 93 == 378 which translates to a not so wonderful 53% right for the season. Louisville Cardinals (23) 23. Nevada-Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels (*) Things look pretty stable (so far) in the top 10 or so, with the remainder of the top twenty or so jumbling around a bit. The farther into the season, ratings begin changing less rapidly. You might be wondering why Memphis State (ranked 6th behind Kansas at 5th) didn't move up a notch since they just beat Kansas. Since their ratings are roughly equal and the game was played at Memphis State, George had Memphis State picked to win by a small margin. Well, they did just that so the ratings of both teams were unaffected by that particular game. This week's most interesting games finds #22 St. John's at Boston College Tuesday (George picks an upset with BC by 1), #17 Illinois visits #3 Michigan on Wednesday (Mich by 14), #11 Louisville visits #6 Memphis State on Thursday (Memphis State by 9), and finally Saturday #10 Georgetown visits #22 St. Johns (George has St Johns by 2!) and #15 North Carolina State visits #4 Duke (Duke by 13).
