I have finally sent the long-promised dial out modifications to
mod.sources.  Summary:  The changes provide an `outgoing mode' for
4.3BSD Beta systems with DH11 or DZ11 devices.  The changes should
work for 4.2BSD as well, but will not be as simple to install.
Outgoing mode allows one to reliably use a single modem for both
incoming and outgoing calls (though obviously not simultaneously.)

The changes are also available via anonymous FTP from host
mimsy.umd.edu:  retrieve the file `dial.shar'.
