I suppose this is not too much of a problem if it takes an extremely long time for the same article numbers to recycle. If so, then perhaps each entry in .newsrc should also be marked with the "last time anything in this newsgroup was read by this user", and to intially check if there are any articles newer than this time, and if so, consider them as "unread" instead of "read". -- Dennis Bednar Computer Consoles Inc.
