The problem is that under heavy system loads (lots of swapping), either a message queue loses a message or a semaphore doesn't get decremented when it should. Does anyone know of any bugs in the IPC code relating to this, or perhaps related to being knocked off a pending semaphore call by a signal? We are running Sys V Rel 2 Version 2, if that's any help. Please reply directly to me at ...!ihnp4!cbm!hutch!barber, and I will summarize to the net. Thanks in advance. -- ------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Barber Rabbit Software Corp. ...!ihnp4!{cbm,cuuxb}!hutch ...!psuvax1!burdvax!hutch (215) 647-0440 1 Great Valley Parkway East Malvern PA 19355
