(guest of Ohio State U.) Lines: 30 *** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** We are about to purchase a machine to do development on. I recently posted a request for opinions, but got no response. Perhaps I asked too general a set of questions. Here is another try. Our application is basically as follows: Someone dials our machine and uploads a file to us, we use an outgoing line to download a file from another machine, then we download a response to the party that called originally, after running the whole mess through various formulas; we expect five to ten dial-in and two or three dial-out lines and two to three terminals. Should I care whether the machine comes with XENIX, BSD 4.2, UNIX Sys. V, or Ultrix? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each with regard to our type of application? -- <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mark D.
