In SV and such there is an external variable 'timezone' which contains
your timezone.  I seem to remember this was not in V7.  How does one
figure out the timezone in V7/BSD?  I was thinking of running "localtime"
and "gmtime" on the same value and figuring out the zone from the difference,
but it strikes me as a lot of work.
