Summary: Is L-833 a good type of tape?

[munch, munch]

I recently saw a L-833 tape made my Sony.  My first reaction was that the tape
might be too thin (causing excessive dropouts), so I backed off from buying
one.

Does anyone out in netland have any experience with this length of tape?
