I do have some additional comments, though. Teknika is a member of the Beta group and sells Beta VCRs in Japan. Aiwa is half-owned by Sony and has in the past made VCRs for Sony (for example, the SL-5200). I am not sure if any current Sony models are actually made by Aiwa. Sanyo makes Beta VCRs for Radio Shack. Sony makes at least one Pioneer-brand VCR. (At least that top-end Pioneer looks an AWFUL lot like the SL-HF900!) Of course, this listing is not necessarily accurate for non-VCR items such as cameras and camcorders. Steve Lionel
