Almost true - the period is 30 days only if they don't say otherwise.
However, if you pay by credit card, you have other protections, though they
don't extend to "arbitrary" order cancellation.  An additional note - the
credit card protections don't apply if you are using a "debit card" (one
where your bank account is automatically debited when you use the card.)
