I recently purchased a VHS Hi-Fi VCR (NEC 961).  I intend to
record opera and perhaps some other classical music simulcasts.

Do more expensive high quality tapes record the audio better?
If so, how significant are the differences and what tapes provide
what differences?

Does recording at the 2 or 4 hours speeds significantly or at all
improve audio performance?

I hope these subjects have not previously been beaten to death.
