  I will be working soon on a new-ish vax 11/780 that someone decided
 should be a VMS machine. What is available for free or at grant-money
 type prices? GNUemacs? GNUanything? shells? utilities?
 I will mail tapes, use ftp, dialup lines or come to your house...
