I like the Well of Souls stuff & everything since. Given that, I really enjoyed all three of these (there are probably more on the way). They are light, humourous fantasy, with some interesting premises. Basically there is a parallel earth which is ruled by magic. The magic is ruled by an encyclopedic set of Books of Rules. This is all well thought out & tied together.
