I'm not sure what use there would be in speeding up a LaserWriter's 
uptake of data --- I have no problem choking one at 9600 baud.  In
fact, I suspect I could run one at 1200 baud with some of the typesetting
programs I'm working on, and still have XON/XOFF happening.
