Computer Science Lines: 25 Keywords: bulletin, libraries Approved: info-vax@sri-kl.arpa A superb bulletin program is available from YORK U. The bulletin program was designed by Dr. Peter Roosen Runge of York University, Dept. of Computer Science. It has an SMG interface, a bulletin selection mechanism, file and print options etc., A seperate bulletin management program for such things as bulletin deletion, expiry, replacement, insertion etc. It uses bulletin libraries by means of a librarian interface, and is capable of handling several libraries simultaneously. It has been at York U. for over a year, and it currently runs under every VMS machine in this campus. So far, we have heard nothing but good things about it. Bulletin is written in C, and comes complete with installation instructions, help files, mms files to rebuild the system, and of course, sources. How to get it: I prefer to distribute bulletin through BITNET, rather than USENET. It is large enough to make usenet site manager very unhappy. Thus, if you want to have it, send me your (or a friendly naigboor site's) bitnet address, and I will send you a DECUS C style archieve. (-h- filename ...) The bulletin program is Copyrighted by York University, but may be used and distributed freely. In fact, I expect you to distribute to other VMS sites who are interested, so that I do not get burned crisp by other bitnet sites along the distribution route. Oz
