I haven't tried it yet, but I'll mail out the info I've been given... Basically what happens when the system looses quorum is that it sits there constantly forking at IPL 4. Doing the following from the console will force it to recompute quorum using the standard formula which will unlock it. $ ^P >>> HALT >>> D/I 14 C >>> CONT IPC> Q IPC> ^Z And your system comes back... Oh yes: On a V4.0 system you'll loose the console until the next reboot. They fixed that problem in V4.1. -Ron
