First make sure SYS$ERRORLOG exists and is writable by "system". And second, if you are using disk quotas on the system disk, make sure that [1,*] (I think [1,4] and [1,6]?) have been given explicit large/infinite quotas. We still have one machine where these measures have not been sufficient. More ideas, anyone? garry wiegand
