Joel Subject: SIGGRAPH '86 Info Now that it is a new year, and many of us are deep into either teaching and/or research in graphics, may I propose that we exchange information via Info-Graphics on who will be attending SIGGRAPH '86. Not only who will be attending, but also who will be presenting a paper, who will be exhibiting artwork and who will be showing animation work. I propose that we do this via Info-Graphics so that when the conference arrives, possibly we could all meet for dinner or the like and see each other's faces. SIGGRAPH provides the opportunity for us to meet and talk face-to-face. Let's not ignore the chance. Acknowledge-To: William J. I believe that the normal way of using this device is to plug it into the back of a tek 4115 terminal, but I was told that it is also possible to have the Vax drive it directly. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this before. I would like mail from those who have one at their site and have some experience with its use and knowledge of its administration. Do you find that you need to have trained operators on hand at all time, or can anyone come use it? What types of documents do you scan and have you had any problems? I am particularly interested in university setups and how they are positioned and administered. If you have suggestions or comments, please send mail directly to me.
