I don't know how prevalent this type of driver is in other parts of the
USA, but here in La Jolla They are everywhere.  Look for an XJ-6 or XJS
being driven in an overly stately manner.  Check behind the wheel for
the telltale signs: expensive Paris original old-lady-style dress,
flamboyant hat, eyes level (maybe) with the top of the steering wheel.

Why avoid them?  It breaks my heart to see a 160 MPH hunk of frozen
poetry throttled to near suffocation like that.
