When I saw the Pinis at Ithacon in 1984, Wendy was about to 
have surgery on her hip.  I remember hearing last year
that this was successful and without complications.
Perhaps overwork on the animation projects plus
leftover discomfort from the operation are causing her to 
take some time off this year.
