Physics Dept., IN Lines: 14 There are also now plastic gutters. It put them on my mom's house last summer. The method of mounting is superior, screws in brackets, rather than nails through the gutters. They should never sag. The joints have rubber seals, no caulking. They standout from the faceing board so they don't hold water on the wood and cause rot. There were two problems I had with them. One, since they standout from the faceing board 1/2" or so, drip edge is need if it isn't already there. Two, some of the guttering was over sized and didn't snap into the joints and brackets they way it should have. A quick file job fixed this. On whole I would recommend plastic.
