I'm a novice and upgrading soon.  However, when it comes to packet
radio I'm really a novice.  I'm tracking down some literature on the
subject, but would like some help from the net in the meantime.
Basically:

          What is needed to use packet radio?

Feel free to expand upwards from the bare necessities.  Note: I'll be
using a Zenith Z-100.
