Reminds me of an Asimov short storie.  A man was faced with problem of
chosing the person who would be the first human being to be cloned.  What
criteria should he use, he wondered.  He finally hit upon the best solution
and announced to all:

"Let he who is without kin grow the first clone."

Asimov is known for being an unrepentent punster.
