About noon he stands up to stretch and have some coffee and he notices this boy about twelve years old with his own hole in the ice about ten yards away. The kid is pulling fish in as fast as he can drop his line, so the luckless fisherman goes over to the boy and says, "So, kid, what's your secret?" The boy mumbles something, but the fisherman can't understand, so he says, "What?" The boy spits something into his hand and says, "Keep your worms warm!"
