One try with the bottle, and she refused to nurse! (they don't mention this one in the breast feeding books). I refused to express milk for her just because she didn't want to do the work herself, so when she refused the breast, I put her down until the next feeding time. It took about two feedings, but she finally realized that she wasn't getting anything else. I also had to listen to her scream for 4 hours, but I figure that if she is really hungry, she is going to eat. Your baby is younger, so I don't know how this relates, but it worked for me.
