Do they have to shave their beards, and wear blue suits, with white shirts? Hmm.. If you are an executive of the company (read salaried employee) then the 40 hours/week is not a maximum at all. I have worked 50-60 hours/week to get systems up in time with no expected compensation. "Tis part of the job" as it were.
