Yes, but you said the key thing there: people KNOW what the military is all about, but young, ambitious potential computer professionals with no job experience and eager to get training might NOT know the company's horrendous track record, nor expect to be treated as a boot camp cadet in an expected corporate environment. EDS paints a tough-but-you're-better-for-it picture for young recruits - I think it is important for people like the original poster's friend to know what REALLY goes on there.
