The last time I went to see my doctor, I asked him about this and he said that later studies showed that after an initial rise, lipid levels returned to previous levels after about 4 months. I'm sorry to say I don't have any other reference for this. In my own case testing showed my blood lipid levels to be "better than average" - I've been taking thiazide for about 4 years. -Steve "Chainsaw" Dunn
