Message-ID: <1958@brl-tgr.ARPA> Date: Sat, 25-Jan-86 11:08:24 EST Article-I.D.: brl-tgr.1958 Posted: Sat Jan 25 11:08:24 1986 Date-Received: Sun, 26-Jan-86 20:08:52 EST Sender: news@brl-tgr.ARPA Lines: 20 I have a dilemma: Pro-350 uses a PDP-11 chip that is essentially PDP11/23, that is, no support for seperate I/D space. Pro-380 upgrade is expensive enough to buy me another Pro-350. That is, I cannot efford it. Is there any other way of upgrading Pro-350 CPU chip so that one can get seperate I&D without giving away my right arm for it ?? The 350 cpu chip is socketed, I presume with a foresight of potential upgrade; Is there a chip out there that will plug in and provide seperate I&D, and perhaps better performance ?? [Anyone from DEC care to comment on it ??] Oz -- Usenet: [decvax|allegra|linus|ihnp4]!utzoo!yetti!oz Bitnet: oz@[yusol|yuyetti] In the beginning, there was Word all right, except it wasn't fixed number of bits.
