He informed me that there will be a meeting on Tuesday, Feb 11 by people involved with INFO-MAC. I asked for more info (who and the meeting's agenda), but could not find out more. **** WOOSH ***** (watch for the flames) this is ridiculous - some turkeys are ruining a good thing and there seems to be nothing anyone can do about it. They (whoever) effectively killed the most active group on ARPA for over 3 months. Is that supposed to be a cooling down period to reduce traffic or what? If there is a problem of running this group and maintaining its archives at site SUMEX-AIM, I would understand that (as should all - look at the volume), but, hey, let's hear about it. While I want to believe that there are "good reasons" for what's going on, I sure would like to not have to spend much more time, wondering about it, but rather hear the "bad news" - but don't expect me to be easily convinced that not posting any explanations to INFO-MAC for this long a period is reasonable and justified. I'll double-post this to net.micro so that I reach the ARPA-community via INFO-MICRO, the only alternative I can think of reaching some readers of INFO-MAC there. ***** Phhhet ****** ---Werner
