Texas, Astronomy, Austin, TX Lines: 14 Well, from talking with the people at Definicon, I was able to dig up the results to the Dhrystone benchmark. They say it was 1500 Dhry/sec using the 11/11/85 dated version of the compiler ( it has been revised, but I do not know the results of the program with the latest version ). On the VAX 11/780 here at the astronomy dept., I get between 860 and 1200 Dhry/sec with load averages (respectively) of 3.5 and 2.0 (under 4.2 BSD UNIX). Someone out there must have a board configured for running the benchmark (that is, they have an interupt control unit). Please let us out here know. John Krist, The Mad 32 Bitter U.
