  Does anyone in "Netland" know how to identify a DPaint file without
actually reading it in.   I am using the AmigaDOS "Examine" function,
then calling "ExNext" repeatedly to get the "FileInfo" on them.   I
cannot find anywhere in the "FileInfo" structure where a "Filetype"
exists.   Do I really have to read each file (Arghhhhhh!!!),  or
is there some secret magic place I can look to identify file types
and "Owners".

  Please mail your responses directly to me, and I will summarize them
and post the results.   IFF Tutorial is in the making.   Just waiting
for additional info from Jerry Morrison at EA,   I also hear that He has
been taken off the IFF project,   I hear that nobody will be replacing
him.   Does this mean that EA will stop releasing new standards??

  Now,  I sit and wait for all that "garbage" from Rutgars-Caip 
as they always bounce everything back in my face.
