If you don't like devs:serial.device I suppose you could write your own (upwordly compatable) copy and put that in the DEVS: directory. This might create a problem later for you if Commodore-Amiga also chooses to release a new upwardly compatible version of the same driver. (Murphy says "they won't match!") --Bruce Barrett
