Since I got a number of messages from people who also wanted to know that info I'll just summarize the responses here. First off, "Thanks!" to all the people who took the time and effort to answer my questions. I got five messages from people who are using Mark of the Unicorn's PC/InterComm emulator. It handles all the "features" I was looking for plus it can handle Kermit, XMODEM, and ASCII file transfers. A common remark has been "I can't recommend this software enough". Other features are programmable function keys and an excellent manual. I also received responses from people using the built-in VT52 emulator that is "good enough for Emacs and other UNIX work". One thing about this s/w is that you should use a modified termcap entry (available on the net). Thats the only two emulators that people have reported, but at least my question was answered - the ST is quite usable as a terminal and that sure makes a great excuse for buying one :-) -- Ray Roux {ucbvax|decvax}!trwrb!trwspp!spp3!rroux
