As a new owner of an 800XL, I have recently scoured the bookstore walls for Atari books. I have consistently found all COMPUTE! books to be excellent, certainly among the best available on all aspects of the 800XL. Their magazine staff seems to be outstandingly competent at describing and programming not only the Atari products, but also those of Commodore, Apple, TI, and IBM. This suggests to me that they will quickly become expert on the new Atari and Commodore products as well. I would expect any books they publish on the ST and the Amiga to be well worth buying. -John Sangster jhs at mitre-bedford
