Lines: 14 Some disappointing news regarding the possibility of the 65816 as a possible upgrade for the 8 bit line : I seem to recall an very detailed article regarding the new chip in a special issue of BYTE magazine on the topic of "New Chips" (within the last year). Some months later someone wrote in to "Ask Steve Ciarcia" in BYTE enquiring as to whether the 65816 could be easily installed in place of a 6502. His answer was no... I don't have either of those issues anymore however, if anyone out there does maybe they can fill us in on the detail. Alan Broder ajb@mitre
