I think that some early memory controllers had some problems with drive capability for a second bank of RAM chips, but none of those controllers made it into production machines. I have heard horror stories about companies doing 520-ST upgrades to 1Mbyte (one developer said his machine came back with only 2 of the 6 OS PROMs, and that the machine had been busted in other, more subtle ways.) BE CAREFUL! Go to someone reputable; make sure that you know that they know what they are doing .... ---- Atari should be on usenet presently, within two weeks, tops. When we are finally and solidly up, I'll let you know. -landon -------
