A previous letter stated that compiler generated error files were usable
only by the editor that came with the system.

The format of the error files is:

<line #> <error #>


The file is a normal text file.  The only problem one might have using
<ignore previous and current line>

One can look up the meanings of the error numbers in the manual (You have
to do this even when using the supplied editor).
