Message-ID: <532@ihlpl.UUCP> Date: Sat, 25-Jan-86 08:25:54 EST Article-I.D.: ihlpl.532 Posted: Sat Jan 25 08:25:54 1986 Date-Received: Sun, 26-Jan-86 04:22:53 EST Distribution: net Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 20 Xref: watmath net.micro.att:849 net.micro.pc:6677 net.micro:13591 I am having a rather serious problem with my 6300. Whenever I run a program that causes a switch between various video modes, I get a screen full of garbage. Clear screen, etc. won't work. Machine is still alive but I am put in such a weird mode, that is impossible to continue useful work and I have to push the reset button to get out of it. For instance: I invoke super key, every thing is fine. Then I hit to get back to what I was doing before and I get nothing but garbage on the screen. Mind you, if I try to get back to superkey, things are still ok. Another place it happens is in Microsoft windows. From DOS executive I invoke dbaseIII, wordstar, crosstalk or the like. The application comes up fine. I switch back to DOS executive fine, but as soon as I try to return to my application, I get garbage on the screen consisting of thick vertical bars on. The application is still alive and I can still switch back to dos executive and even the screen in DOS executive looks fine but my application screen is useless!!! If anyone can give me any help, I would really appreciate it. Reza Zarafshar ihnp4!ihlpl!reza0 (312)979-5104
