Yes, they are important, and should be kept around a while.  But...
kept around as what?  Most of us probably unpack them asap.  After
that, the _articles_ aren't much good to anybody.

I suggest a default expiration date on the map postings, and let the
individual administrator decide.  Of course, you could take my advice
with a dash of salt, as I have not run expire in over three months :-)
