Pardon me for posting this in reply to an earlier posting, but all my attempts
to mail it to the requester have failed...  The subject is CHAT-80, a natural
language parser written in Prolog.

All my references on CHAT-80 seem to have walked off.  I'd suggest writing to

His dissertation discussed many aspects of CHAT-80; I believe his thesis
supervisor was David Warren, now with Quintus (of Quintus Prolog).  I don't
have an address for him...
