I've seen some mail on an IIT newsgroup. Can someone let me 
know of the various IIT-related groups. Also, are they 
subdivided by the seperate IITs? I also noticed that some 
IIT Madras folks were trying to organise a reunion and 
collect some funds to send back some computing equipment. 
How did it work out? Some of us of the 70 IIT-Kharagpur 
batch have held two successfull reunions, with one person 
coming from India as well. We have sponsored a scholarship 
as well. If anyone would like to know the mechanics of 
setting up a scholarship fund in India, just send mail.

I would like to start a healthy discussion about the quality 
of the educational institutions in India and how we Indians 
here can help improve or influence them in a positive way.
