[munch] Does anyone have any information on how long after the birth of a litter we should wait before we allow our female guinea pig to breed again? We're in no big hurry, but we usually keep our male and female together, and they both seem pretty unhappy about being separated. Our guinea pig books say that the female is receptive within hours after birth, but shouldn't be allowed to breed yet. They don't say when she should be allowed to, though. I'm sure any information would be appreciated by a lonely and frustrated male guinea pig! --Paula Matuszek {sdcrdcf, psuvax1}!burdvax!paula
