(Excluding plurals, with respect to some standard dictionary, e.g., the Unix online Boggle dictionary. I actually mean not the true boggle cubes, but where any 4X4 square of letters is allowed.) My maximum is around 250, obtained by slight trial and error efforts. I am sure the true max is much higher. (For those who don't know Boggle: given a 4X4 square of letters, form words by starting in any square and proceeding to any horizontal, vertical, or diagonal neighbor whose position has not been used before in that word.)
