We are in the process of purchasing a 1912 vintage brick Dutch Colonial house.
Although basically sound, it will need a significant amount of restoration. 
Major tasks include the brickwork, interior woodwork, and construction of
kitchen cabinets. We would like to keep our modifications in the character of
the house. I would appreciate any recommendations for books on this subject,
either general or specialized. Mail them to me and, if there is sufficient
response, I'll summarize to the net.
