He discusses the meaning of our day of rest, what we rest from, and why. I have found it to be quite fascinating. It might lead you further in this topic. Some other works by Rabbi Kaplan include : Handbook of Jewish Thought, a book; Waters of Eden, a pamphlet on "mikveh" (a ritualarium); Jerusalem, Eye of the Universe, a pamphlet; The Living Torah, a translation of the Torah, based on the commentaries, with pictures and maps for illustration.
