For cchecking Cherokee Indian ancestors, is there a reference?

Specifically, looking for descendants of John Ross, Cherokee chief who
led the Nation on the Trail of Tears, fought with the Confederacy at
Pea Ridge, later moved to Pennsylvania and died there.
