Lines: 32 From: Joseph.Ginder@SPICE.CS.CMU.EDU I have not read it, but I believe that the title of the book described whose main character's name is Caradoc is "The Eagle and the Raven". It is by Pauline Gedge. I just saw it advertised in a bulletin from Books on Tape. Books on Tape, incidentally, is a great source of unabridged readings of books on cassette tape. You lease a set of tapes for 30 days for $10-15. The readings are normally good, sometimes excellent; and the selection of books, while light on SF, is very large. If you have a long commute to work or are just weary a the end of the day and would like to read with your eyes closed lying in a comfortable position without having to hold a book over your head, check it out. They ship tapes via whatever class of mail you are willing to pay for. The tapes arrive in a paper wrapper; when you tear it off, revealed is a box of tapes with address and postage already affixed for easy return to BOT. They seem to have their act together. Their address is: Books On Tape Box 7900 Newport Beach, CA 92660 They'll send you a free brochure describing their rental program. It also describes a few "best sellers" that they offer. The drawback is that their catalog is fairly large such that they charge you $5 for it (possibly with some kind of deal where you get a credit on your first rental or something -- I don't remember) By the way, if you mention my name to them, I get a free book rental if and when you rent your first book. (Honestly, I didn't even think of that until I'd typed all of the above in ...)
