Does this surprise anyone?  In my local bookstore they have some remaindered
copies of John Varley's DEMON for $7.  Since this was (apparently) a 
pretty limited press run (the hard back), I was really surprised when
I saw them (perhaps a dozen copies before I bought two).  It's a mall-store,
but not part of a chain.
