One of the recent Star Trek novels -- ISHMAEL by Barbara Hambly -- shows
Spock's first name as S'chn T'gai.

This name is also given as the first name of Spock's father, Sarek --
lending support to the theory that it is a patrilineal family name.

I do not know whether this name has been officially blessed by the Great
Bird of the Galaxy.  :-}

If you haven't already read ISHMAEL, by the way, I highly recommend it.
However, if you haven't read it yet, please *don't* start out by looking
for the reference to Spock's first name -- you'll run headlong into a
major plot-spoiler if you do.
